Are you or a loved one struggling with psychiatric problems or chemical dependency? John Muir Health provides compassionate, effective treatment in a warm and safe environment. Our inpatient and outpatient programs emphasize diagnosis, outstanding support, clean and comfortable facilities, and continuing care.

Visitor Information
We’re located just north of the Concord Medical Center about a mile from BART’s Concord station. If you are driving take the Grant Street exit off Highway 242 and then turn right. We are on the left-hand side of the street.
We require that visitors do not bring these prohibited items when visiting the Behavioral Health Center.

Our adolescent inpatient program focuses on stabilizing teens aged 13 to 18 in crisis situations
Adolescent Outpatient Program

Provides a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists and other professionals to assist your 12-18 year old in the therapeutic process.*

Children's Services

Treats children ages 4 to 12 who have emotional or other mental health problems.
Adult Inpatient Admissions

Offers confidential drug and alcohol dependency assessments and treatments to help patients recover from substance abuse.
Adult Outpatient Admissions

Offers confidential drug and alcohol dependency assessments and treatments to help patients recover from substance abuse.
Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Provides intensive day treatment program and services to adults recovering from a mental health crisis, in need of stabilization, or when transitioning from hospital to home.
Chemical Dependency, Inpatient Detox, Center for Recovery

Provides safe, medical detoxification with a supportive, specialized staff for people with alcohol or chemical dependencies.

Designed to support you in your continuing recovery. Each patient is assigned an individual case manager who will guide you through your recovery process.
Social Services
Provides psychiatric social workers to advocate for patients, help plan care, and connect patients to resources as they transition from one care setting to another.
